Our Story

Bringing Kimono
Closer to Everyday Life.

We are a husband and wife, both born and raised in Kiryu — a town that grew up around its weaving mills. When our child was born and we began to think about the world they would grow up in, the kimono culture that surrounded our own childhood came back to us with new meaning.

The town that once hummed with the sound of looms now has almost no companies working with kimono. Across Japan, the industry has shrunk to one-ninth of its peak.

We hope children will grow up with kimono close at hand — and one day pass the culture on in their turn. With that wish, the two of us founded this company.
